I am privileged this morning to extend my heartiest vote of thanks to each and every one of you for being supportive in making this day a memorable one.
First of all, I would like to thank YOUR EXCELLENCY, SHRI SURJIT SINGH BARNALA Ji, for your kind and thought provoking inaugural address. We are grateful to you for your gracious presence to ‘NONI SEARCH 2007’ in spite of your very busy schedule. I thank you sir, for setting the stage for the symposium through an excellent address. We realize that, this symposium has a great significance since there are unheard diseases popping up with rapid change in the lifestyle and increased concern among people for good health and wellness.
Sir, we shall follow your valuable advice during the period of this symposium, while deliberating on various aspects of Noni. As emphasized by you, Noni being a highly potential plant for natural health, we are committed to conduct intensive futuristic research through our galaxy of research scientists and doctors present here, to take the benefits of Noni to masses. We are truly inspired and we do believe that the research is an ongoing journey and not a destination. We thank you for your encouragement and for the faith you have placed in World Noni Research Foundation. We do hope that you will continue your interest in Noni and keep on providing your valuable guidance to us.
I take this opportunity to thank Dr. Kirti Singh, Chairperson, World Noni Research Foundation and the former chairman of Agricultural Scientist Recruitment Board (ASRB), Ministry of Agriculture, Government of India and former vice chancellor of three universities. Sir, only your extraordinary support, encouragement and guidance, given from time to time, has helped us in making this symposium a great success.
I thank Dr. M. L. Choudhary, Horticulture Commissioner, Government of India, for your presence and your much valued address AS GUEST OF HONOUR, to lead us forward.
My Loving thanks to Prof. P. I. Peter, Chairman of Health India Laboratories, who is the man behind this entire spark responsible for bringing about this gigantic explosion with his divine guidance in poising Divine Noni in the front of the waves of wellness.
I specially appreciate and thank the members of Research Advisory Board of World Noni Research Foundation consisting of several eminent personalities in Dr. K L Chadha, Dr.S. Kannaiyan, Dr. K. Pradhan, Dr. S N Puri, Dr. D S Rathore, Dr (Mrs) P. Geervani and Dr. S S Kadam for your presence today and the continuous guidance and inspiration in poising our Noni Research as a service to humanity in the world.
I thank and acknowledge the mighty contribution of Dr. K. V. Peter, Member Secretary of Research Advisory Board, WNRF, who has made the release of Monograph on Noni possible being its editor and for his support to the success of ‘Noni Search 2007.
I specially thank Dr. P. Rethinam, the consultant of WNRF, for his exceptional support and in bringing out the publications today, including the ‘Proceedings of Noni Search 2006’ and Souvenir and Abstracts of Noni Search 2007.
A very hearty thanks to Dr. Brahma Singh, Dr. D P Ray, Dr.K V Raman, Dr. S N Puri, Mr. K. R Viswambaran IAS, Dr. Meher Ali, Dr.R C Upadhyaya and all the Chairmen, Co-Chairmen and the rapporteurs of all the technical sessions of the coming two days. I am sure; you will add depth to the content and deliberations of the symposium. I take great pleasure in extending my heart felt thanks to members of the WNRF Research Council, Researchers, and Doctors for their participation.
I express my sincere thanks to the friends of Media for supporting us today with their presence and spending their valuable time with us.
And the last but not the least, I want to thank, acknowledge and appreciate to this much receptive, enthusiastic Delegates, Students, Cultivators and Noni Users for your participation and patient listening, without your PRESENCE this symposium would not have been possible. Please accept my hearty thanks for accepting our invitation and joining in this historical symposium.
