National Medical Plants Board Undertaking Research on
Noni.
National Medicinal Plants Board
of Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Department of
Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Sidha &
Homeopathy (AYUSH) of Government of India has approved
Research Project on Morinda citrifolia “Technological
Innovations for Commercial Exploitation of Morinda
citrifolia (Noni) as Livelihood Option for Island
Farmers”.
Health
India Laboratories of Noni Family has been selected as
one of the collaborating agencies for the research
project. The project period is from 1st March 2008 to
28th February 2013.
The total cost of the project is Rs.2,46,00,000/-
(Rupees two crores, forty six lacs).
The following are the participating organizations for
the research :
1)
Central Agricultural Research Institute (CARI).
2) Central Drug Research Institute (CDRI)
3) Central Horticulture Experiment Station (CHES)
4) Health India Laboratories (HIL).
